New York 1pm - 10pm
Some currency pairs to trade during the New York session include:
EUR/USD
A popular and widely traded pair, and is especially good to trade during the New York session because it overlaps with European hours.
USD/JPY
A safe haven asset for New York session traders, and is often active as the Asian trading session is about to start.
GBP/USD
Also known as the Cable, this pair is popular and is most active during the London and US trading sessions.
USD/CNY
A highly traded pair, and is good for beginners to trade.
USD/CAD
This pair is closely linked to oil prices, and can show decent long-term trends with relatively low volatility.
USD/CHF
Also known as “Swissie” trading, this pair shows how many Swiss francs it takes to buy one US dollar.
USD HKD
This pair is considered an exotic pair, as it's the US dollar against a non-major economy.
Eur/gbp
This pair is typically seen as very strong, given the proximity of regions and their solid history of trade.
In general, US dollar pairs are usually the best FX pairs to trade during the New York session, and tend to be more volatile when there is a change in broad economic indicators
