Day 1 experiance

Well today was my first full day using GaleleoFX. I have eight pairs setup and they all were pretty quite today with the exception of my USDJPY it has been doing all kinds of trading today. Shorts, longs, multiple shorts with a single buy. I think it has done about 30 trades today and I’m just over $100 in the positive. Not a bad day. I did have to tweet the lot sizes a bit some of the supplied settings had lot sizes that were too big for my liking this early. I’d like to see some movement in the other pairs, maybe they need to be set a little more aggressive?

That sounds like a very solid first day. Being up $100 while still learning how the system behaves is a good sign. It’s completely normal for one pair to be more active than others: markets move differently. Sometimes USD/JPY will be lively while the rest stay quiet.

Tweaking lot sizes down was the right instinct. Protecting your account in the early days matters more than chasing extra trades. As for wanting more movement from the other pairs, patience usually pays better than forcing aggressiveness. Let the bot show you its rhythm on conservative settings first, then adjust gradually once you’re comfortable.

Trading is a marathon, not a sprint. The fact you’re already managing risk thoughtfully puts you ahead of where most beginners start.
