EA Inputs

Hi Guys,

2 weeks in on demo and fairly new to trading, but not to investing stocks, crypto, etc.

I am seeking a more detailed explanation on the variables and values in EA Inputs, as i sense the need to change values now and then. Any links appreciated!

Also, being able to add or auto load Strategy in use would be great. Did notice someone already suggested it.

Lastly, does any of the strategies automatically adjust SL and TP during a trade.

Cheers.

Hey there,

You're absolutely right that understanding the EA (Expert Advisor) Inputs is essential, especially when adjusting strategies over time. Each setting controls a specific behavior of the Galileo FX engine, and fine-tuning them allows you to align the bot more closely with your risk tolerance and trading style.

For a comprehensive breakdown of each variable — including Consecutive Signals, Stop Loss, Take Profit, Lot Size, Max Orders, and more you can visit our Settings page(https://store.galileofx.com/blogs/instructions/galileo-fx-settings)
The ability to auto-load a strategy is one of the most frequently requested features, and we’re actively exploring streamlined solutions for this. At the moment, strategies must still be manually loaded via the .set files. This approach offers flexibility, but we understand the appeal of a more integrated workflow — particularly for those managing multiple strategies.
Your suggestion reinforces that this remains a key priority for future updates. It’s noted.

In current builds, strategies do not auto-adjust Stop Loss (SL) or Take Profit (TP) values after the trade is opened. However, if you're looking for dynamic trade management, Galileo FX does support:

  • Trailing Stop and Trailing Step features
These allow your SL to automatically move in your favor as the trade becomes profitable. It’s a way to lock in gains without manually adjusting trades.
  • Conditional logic via input settings
For example, by combining high Consecutive Signal values with Max Orders = 1, you can control trade frequency while letting Galileo FX react only to strong patterns.
