How to Change Setting for Demo Account from OX Securities in MT5

Hello, everybody.

I’m writing this post as a sequel to the previous post called “No Algo Trading Activities in Indices and Other Pairs without Suffix PRO”. I earlier wrote an email to Tech Support about the problem on Algo trading in indices and other pairs without suffix PRO, which was related to the post from Galileo FX Community called “No Algo Trading Activities in Indices and Other Pairs without Suffix PRO”. Here is a response from the Tech Support.

“It’s very easy why they did not work. OXSecurities has 2 account types: Standard and Pro. If you were prompted to use the .PRO pairs it means the MetaTrader trading account you opened with OX is a PRO account hence why any pairs you trade has to have that .PRO suffix.”

In case you haven’t read the previous post called “No Algo Trading Activities in Indices and Other Pairs without Suffix PRO”, allow me to tell you a bit about the previous post.

I currently have Galileo FX Pro Premium (including the premium settings for EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/CAD, USD/CHF, XAU/USD, and XAG/USD) and MT5 (for OX Securities) on my computer. I have been doing Algo Trading with the demo account from OX Securities since February 3rd this year (2025). (Note: I haven’t started the actual account, as I haven’t put my money into my account yet.)

Now, I do have a few questions, and I want you to answer with honesty.

(1) How can I change the setting for demo account from OX Securities in MT5 so that Galileo FX Pro Premium can trade in all investment options, not just forex and metals? (In other words, how to change all these charts representing different investment options, including indices and cryptocurrencies, to include the suffix PRO? Or, how can I change the settings of all these charts representing different investment options so that Galileo FX Pro Premium can trade in any kind of investment in demo account, besides forex and metals?)

(2) If I can’t change the setting for demo account from OX Securities in MT5, is there another way I can do so that Galileo FX Pro Premium can trade in all investment options in demo account, not just forex and metals?

Hi there,

In order to trade other categories your broker has to offer the respective assets on MetaTrader.
The easiest way to check what your broker offers is to open MetaTrader, go to VIEW on the upper side and click SYMBOLS.
This will display a list of all assets offered by your broker.

When checking the list you will notice some pairs have a YELLOW SQUARE with a DOLLAR SIGN icon in them, that means they are visible on MetaTrader. Others will have the same SQUARE but it will be GREYED OUT.
This means the asset is not visibile on MetaTrader. To make it visible you select the asset and click on SHOW.
From there, on MetaTrader you select FILE-ADD NEW CHART and you can add the respective asset to your MetaTrader screen.
You than drag Galileo FX on it from your NAVIGATOR tab and you can add your settings, or download a strategy for the pair from our Performance page.

To change settings for any of the pairs, on MetaTrader 5 if you look at your charts on their upper right side you will see a BLUE GRADUATION hat icon. Double clicking that icon on a pair will open up it's settings window,. that is where you adjust the settings for it.
