I am using Oanda as my broker and they only use MT4. Unfortunately it appears that the MT4 files I have been provided is not compatible as represented, while MT5 does work but not with Oanda. I need the setup files for MT4. A little help here please!View attachment 3999
I had kind of the same issue. But it was with forex.com broker and couldn't get my forex.com accounts to work on the mt5 program I already had installed. I kept thinking it was setting and all kind of things. I originally started a demo with Oanda broke and not positive exactly where I originally downloaded mt5 from. (Guessing Oanda's website) So when I opened a live and demo accounts with forex.com I tried using it with the mt5 program that was already installed on my computer. It wouldn't let me do trades or sign into any new forex.com accounts. I had to go to forex. Com and download their mt5 programs from the website. Now I'm able run Galileo fx on my forex.com accounts. What I'm saying is make sure you downloaded mt4 or 5 from the brokers website you intend to use.
Thank for this. Actually is makes sense what are you trying to trade exactly?Hello T, M and A
What do you (try to) trade? Currencies or stocks?
I trade stocks/shares and found out, that it's not possible with OANDA.
I download the MT4 from Oanda website. I download the latest file for Galileo FX, install both correctly. After I set up the bot for EURUSD with the inputs form Galileo website, the bot starts trading and stop. I see under Journal FIFO violation. I'm not using more than one currency to trade in the same time, I have enough funds (is losing couple cents each time I try). I did test different recommendations, and ALL are losing money besides EURUSD. It must be Galileo FX inputs that doesn't work with Oanda restrictions. I think this is the reason Oanda is saying is not compatible. The inputs you recommend on your website, need to be modified or specify what broker is compatible when you sell the product. Can you send me some Inputs I can use with MT4 and Oanda? (Support scheduled a 15 session on February 10, after exchange countless emails with screenshots of my settings). I like to do some real troubleshooting. ThanksHey guys,
The MT4 file inside the Galileo FX folder might not be working properly due to Admirals not using MT anymore, we are working on updating that.
You can download MT4 directly from OANDAs website, from your account page.
As for OANDA saying it's not compatible, are we sure we have a MetaTrader account opened with OANDA?
Right, I see, mind reaching out to support and we will take a lookYes Chris,
OANDA- loaded MT5 proofed not to be suited for Galileo FX automatic stock/share trading.
One can trade stocks/shares with OANDA, but one has to input the purchase-orders manually.
The flaw is in the ONADA-stock-data (see enclosure). Tick-boxes for information Galileo FX uses are open.
Sure, reach out to support please, Ill reply as soon as I can and we can discuss everythingI download the MT4 from Oanda website. I download the latest file for Galileo FX, install both correctly. Don't use OANDA anymore.
Options in the UK our endless. You can use the tool Chris provided or Google MetaTrader brokers for UK and you should get a plentiful list to choose from. Please which broker did you use I mean UK I have the same problem
