What's the difference between XAUUSD.p and XAUUSD.s

I have run my tests on XAUUSD.p as that's the only gold available to me on a demo account. My settings were successful.

I'm now running the exact same settings on a live account on XAUUSD.s. The trades are not the same as XAUUSD.p. I'm running the same settings simultaneously on a demo account and a live account on the same currency pair and getting different results.

Why would that be happening?

Hi Daveybline,

I think the only difference may be the price sources of these two different names for same instrument, you should ask your broker for more details. You are able to trade on one and not another may be because of your pricing for your broker.

But these are just speculations based on my knowledge, you will get a clear understanding after contacting your broker.
