Running gold strategy from performance page (My Early Results)

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share my first results running Galileo with the preset that uses 8 bullish / 4 bearish signals. I loaded it up on XAU/USD yesterday and let it run without touching anything.

Here’s what it did:
  • 6 trades total
  • Lot sizes: 0.05 and 0.10
  • All buys, no sells
  • Net profit: $439.30
The trades were spread out over the afternoon/evening. A couple were small wins ($12–$18), but two bigger ones really pushed the balance up ($149 and $108). Nothing crazy in terms of volume, but steady and consistent.

What I like so far is how patient the strategy is, it doesn’t jump into every candle. When it does pull the trigger the entries have been solid. I was honestly expecting more noise, but this setup seems to wait for a stronger confirmation.

Obviously it’s just one day on demo, so I’m not getting carried away. But it feels good to finally see the bot in action and not second-guess my decisions.

Curious if anyone else is running this exact preset on gold. Do you stick with the wide stop (561) and big TP (1616), or do you tighten them a bit?

I’m tempted to lower Max Orders to 1 just to see if it smooths things out.

I ran the exact same preset on gold last week and at first I thought “ok this is too slow, maybe it’s broken.” 😂

Then outta nowhere it fired 4 trades back-to-back during NY session and BOOM, account was up like +$300 in a couple hours. I was hyped… until I got greedy and messed with the settings.

Dropped max orders to 1 like you’re thinking… bad idea (for me at least). It killed the momentum cuz it literally just sat on one entry and missed the follow-up moves. Ended up being way less profit than if I just let it stack like it wanted.

About the wide SL/TP

yeah they look stupid big, but don’t stress. Bot rarely holds all the way to those levels, it usually closes earlier based on the signals flipping. First time I saw 561 SL I was like “wtf who trades gold with that?!”

🤦‍♂️ but trust, it’s more like a safety net than something that actually gets hit

My 2 cents: Don’t start tightening stuff until you’ve seen it run for at least a week or two.

I jumped in messing with knobs after 1 day and screwed myself.

LET IT BREATHE

Just my experience tho
