Trying to figure it out calibration and back testing

I bought Galileo FX several weeks ago and due to my schedule I have not been able to work with it as much as I would like. I don't understand the calibration process and back testing. Watching the videos and using the setting they use just to see if I am doing it right I either get no results or different results. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

If you find a way to back test, please post, I am new to this as well and just taded on a demo account for 1.5 months before I decided to jump in, so far so good but it would be very helpful if I could back test some of these settings to make (fairly) certain that I am not just throwing money away.
