Ok, that was my understanding too. And for the most part, the bot has been opening trades with what would appear to be a 1% position. However, lately it has seen a significant jump in position size which does not correlate to a 1% position size based on balance. My balance is currently at...
Yes, I understand the Lot Size needs to be set to zero, and it has been. I'm not looking to limit trades, just trying to understand the calculation it uses to determine lot size when Risk% is used. Like I said, I have a 1% set but my equity was around $18,000...so why it was taking on a lot size...
@Chris are you able to explain why the bot when set to 1% risk% would be trading a .56 lot size on an account that holds a balance of $26,000 and equity of $18,000? It doesn't seem to me to be calculating the lot size correctly based on 1% of risk.
@David @Vinz @Chris Is there any reason why Admin is not reviewing and approving my posts in this thread? I have 5 posts starting back on 2/29, 3/6, and 2 posts on 3/26 that have not been approved. If there is a reason why that I should know about, please let me know.
Would you please go back...
I've heard from @Vinz that they are in full test mode right now and are targeting to release V2 this quarter. I haven't heard about any of the new improvements or features either, just that it's coming soon!
@Chris Thank you for the reply. A few follow up Q's...1) Is it calculating based on balance or equity? It appears to use equity. 2) Does the bot take into account the current Margin Level %? In other words, if the margin level is low and therefore the account is stressed out (ex. say around...
@David can you explain the details of how Risk % is calculated and if the bot will limit entering new trades as Margin Level % begins to get stressed at <200%?
@David I have several posts that have been awaiting admin approval. Would you please review them and either approve or let me know why they are not appropriate. I'm trying to be a valuable contributing member here.
Ok, now let's talk about the Risk of Ruin! As I mentioned in the post above, the current RoR has held steady at 13 trades to lose 10% of the account. What I'd like to expand upon is what I'm most interested in with regards to the DEMO account and giving the bot every chance to ruin the account...
