I am completely new to all of this and am in need of the most basic help. I've never traded forex before, so forgive my ignorance as I don't even understand the basic terminology. I went ahead and purchased the Pro version, but I couldn't figure out how to get it installed. So I went back and purchased the setup assistance, which is scheduled for this coming Tuesday. I don't want to be unprepared for the assistance call. I opened an account with Oanda and downloaded their MT4. Apparently, the MT4, even through downloaded through Oanda, requires a separate account to log into? In the instructional video, it shows the website assigning a username and password at that point. However, it never gives me one. I keep running into that roadblock. I decided to open an account with Forex to see if it was any more user friendly. I am having a similar issue with it too. I'm wondering at this point:
1) Does Galileo only work on MT4 and MT5, or can it be used with Forex's or Oanda's internal platform? In other words, do I have to have MT4 or MT5 to get started?
2) Do I have to somehow figure this out prior to the assistance call on Tuesday? Will this prevent the Galileo rep from being able to install the program? I noticed that the call was only scheduled for twenty minutes, so I don't want my unpreparedness to cause them not be able to finish the install.
