I read through this linked page and have watched several videos but none of them tell you how to test a specific setting. How does it even work without a setting? This is very important so please reply. I need to be walk through it step by step. Please just take an example of a recent setting so we can see exactly what to do. Many thanks in advance.

Above 2 screenshots show my attempt to backtest a conservative AUDCHF W1 setting (from Performance page). I didn't know how to fill in anything but the first column (Value). I ran it for the preceding year but it showed no trades. Obviously I am doing something wrong. Help would be greatly appreciated.
