What is the checkbox for "Allow Modification of Signal Settings" for? What does selecting that setting and turning it on do?

I have the same question. Hope some experienced folks answer this. Kindly
Hey @Enola and @LongYang767

It’s a safety lock.
  • What it is: “Allow Modification of Signal Settings” controls whether the strategy’s signal parameters are locked to your preset or can be changed while the EA is running.
  • When OFF: Signal parameters stay exactly as saved. On-chart controls and any auto-tuning modules cannot overwrite them.
  • When ON: You can live-edit signal parameters from the panel or load a new preset. The EA will use the new values on the next tick for new entries. Open trades are left alone.
Good practice: use it ON while forward-testing to fine-tune. Turn it OFF before going live to freeze a known configuration and avoid accidental tweaks.
