Hello Forum,

I've been diving deep on both MT5 and the Galileo trading Bot. After watching a million videos, I still feel confused on how to best back test and use that information for optimal settings. I'm looking for a professional who I could hire for more of a hands on experience. Watching endless videos is exhausting and fruitless at times. Thank you

Hello Sanchay,

Can you explain this in a bit more detail?

"Past 12 months performance for GBP/USD with $10000 on Aggressive mode with Day Trading style:"

1) What exactly is 'Aggressive Mode"?
2) Day Trading style? What exact timeframe do you mean? 1 Day?

Hello Sanchay,

One more question here: In some of your recommended settings I will see numbers associated with a) Take Profit in Points b) Trailing start in points. In other recommendations I see: a) Trailing Profit Question? If you denote 'Trailing Profit' where is this parameter and where do you change this?

1) Aggressive mode means, the backtest report open more frequent trades, can have higher drawdown, etc.
2) Yes 1 Day Timeframe

Sorry for the confusion:

In your inputs section Trailing Start is Trailing Profit. Take Profit in points or Take Profit are both same, and similar for the rest of the parameters

I don't know if I would call myself a "professional" lol. I am just a red neck that figured out how this bot works and how to make it work at its best! I have a couple of questions before I can help you however. First, do you use MetaTrader 4 or 5? Once I know which platform you are using, I can better assist you. Feel free to contact me at commonsenseinvestor2022@gmail.com and I will help you. P.S. Have you seen my Galileo Playlist on Youtube yet? You may find your answers there. Check it out here

Hi JohnH. Maybe I can help. When you say "Aggressive Mode" that means it will buy faster.... if it is set on a "conservative" mode, it will buy less. It's best to know that Galileo FX works on what is called a "Contrarian" strategy. Think of it like this, if the bots Bullish settings are low like a 1 - then it will buy more because it is only waiting for ONE bullish signal before it buys... if the bots Bullish settings are high like 10, then the bot will wait till it receives 10 consecutive buy signals so it would naturally buy less. I would warn you however not to get yourself to bogged down in "Aggressive" or "conservative" mode.... run an optimization test like I show you in this video and set your settings. In this video I am using MetaTrader 4. I am working on a video now on How to Completely Optimize Your Trading bot in MetaTrader 5. But you should watch this video so you can get a better understanding...

Hi Sanchay,
I am seeing the errof message

"Cannot Synchronize history"

when I am trying a test strategy with nasdaq symbol nvda. Can you tell me why I am seeing the above error message. Obviously I am not seeing any trades.
Thx

Hi @b11jjr it seems like a broker specific issue. Contact your broker and make sure its correctly setup in Metatrader and also verify the installation of galileo ea

You are correct my friend. Video teaching can serve a purpose. But, there is nothing like a mentor that can answer your questions in person. I have a popular Youtube Channel and make training videos for viewers and I offer one on one personal coaching for Galileo. What particular questions do you have that you need help with?

Did you get any response? I am looking for a similar pro. Experience has a very expensive curve,, Two pros would have been cheaper. Would love to hear your findihngs

How can I help you?
Hi to you sir, appreciate your angle, its hard to be a helper in life, but I found its who I truly am, so all the pushy I need it now types don't bother me ....much... so I won't be one of those.
I need to understand optimization better. MT5 Strategy tester is robust. I get good data , Galileo can be dialed in... but yeah, its been so volatile, I had to wide open my stops for a minute and find new ranges. 200 seems to be the balance in crypto for me on the 30m. the larger volume crypto about 160. The Forex Galileo is pretty effective, as well as metals.. Obvious the rythym is different in crypto, but I LOVE challenges.
Ok, from there, I don't have a trailing stop in my package, would like that feature. I've tried two order management experts, but I would listen to your take.
Next, adding indicators, do you think it can be a distraction? I like to day trade style it, So I'm seeing a bot that uses CHO,RSI,MFI and volume, guided by Keltner bands.
A simple if then.. and then the Galileo expert would have extremely compelling reasons to enter a trade.. but yeah, then what.... nothing to do but watch. But watch we must thru this volatile period.. reasonable stops, no problem, figuring out profit?? tricky.. lots of small ups...
So, if I may, I'd like to schedule a visit next week, it would be an honor. If you would like to chat a bit first, it may suit us both better in time.. muchos gracias, ya'll

Hey, on another note, its hard to find a bot that can pull consistent gains like I do trading manual.. but I enjoy the journey, peace
